Pallacanestro Cantu, one of the Italian clubs with the longest basketball tradition, changed hands. As it was announced today in a press conference Dmitry Gerasimenko, the owner/player of Krasny Oktyabr, became also the owner of Cantu, which currently competes in Legabasket and the new FIBA Europe Cup

Pallacanestro Cantu, one of the Italian clubs with the longest basketball tradition, changed hands. As it was announced today in a press conference Dmitry Gerasimenko, the owner/player of Krasny Oktyabr, became also the majority owner of Cantu, which currently competes in Legabasket and the new FIBA Europe Cup.

Gerasimenko is already part of the conglomerate which is building a new arena for the team, he also a registered player of his team and he recently stole the show in the Eurocup game against AEK Athens at OAKA. In the press conference Gerasimenko was not present and the announcement was made by Anna Cremascoli, whose family was the owners of the team since 2008 and will remain a part owner.
