Crvena Zvezda needed a big win for a reboot of his Euroleague season and just got it in Munich by beating Bayern 90-79. In a close game decided in the last quarter, Red Star shined along with Stefan Jovic.

The guard of Crvena Zvezda registered a new Euroleague record with 19 assists, dishing one more than the whole Bayern combined. Newcomers Quincy Miller with 22 points and Vladimir Stimac with 18 points transformed many of those passes into buckets and also veteran leader Marko Simonovic added 15 points.

Bayern entered the last quarter leading by three points (66-63), Zvezda had the 80-77 lead with two minutes to go and two big threes by Simonovic and Nikola Rebic (86-77) sealed the deal for the guests.

Dusko Savanovic had 19 points for the hosts, who just couldn’t finish the game the right way. Bayern had the lead for most of the second and the third quarter, however they couldn’t build a solid advantage and they paid for that in the end. Zvezda and Bayern are now tied at 2-3 in Group A standings with the Serbs having the tie breaking advantage.
