KC Rivers returned to Real Madrid, a few months after his departure, and will be a member of the defending champions until the end of the current season. Earlier today, Bayern Munich announced that the 28-year-old forward had been released and immediately the “Whites” reached an agreement with their former player, who is expected to join the team on Monday.
Rivers left Spain during the summer after he lost his COTONU status and signed a contract with the Bavarians, which allowed him to leave the club after the first three months of the season. Of course, if Bayern had qualified to the Top 16, he wouldn’t have left Munich. The acquisition of Rivers is very important for Real, as the club will play without Rudy Fernandez (due to injury) for the first at least seven games of the top 16.
