Basketball is a team sport and Lokomotiv Kuban has proven many times so far in the season that it’s a very solid unit. However the 89-75 road win at Zagreb over Cedevita was a one man show.

Malcolm Delaney was the Euroleague version of Steph Curry. He scored 24 points in the first half for a total of 28 ranking and finished the game with 31 points and 8 assists (41 ranking). Cedevita couldn’t contain him as Lokomotiv scored 34 points in the second quarter and got a 50-41 advantage, despite the good start of the hosts who were leading by five (21-16) after the first period.

Nothing changed in the second half, as Lokomotiv was always on the driver’s seat and Cedevita couldn’t get back into the game. Chris Singleton with 16 points was the only other player of the winners who scored in double digits. James White had 14 points for Cedevita, three mores players scored in double digits, but defense was the problem for the hosts who also shot just 50% in free throws.

To be exact White with a three cut the lead of Lokomotiv to six points (50-44) at the start of the second half, Jacob Pullen pushed Cedevita even closer (52-47), but that was the best the hosts could do.
