Unicaja Malaga beat Cedevita Zagreb in a game which ended in the first half. The hosts build in just 20 minutes a 52-31 lead which proved enough for the eventual 90-67 win.

Mindaugas Kuzminskas scored 17 points for the winners and Daniel Diez had his best Euroleague game yet with 16 points. Every player used by coach Joan Plaza scored, but the key was rebounds. Unicaja had a total of 43 against just 23 of the guests. The dominance of the Spaniards was evident as they got 19 offensive rebounds against 14 rebounds. More possesions and better shooting efficiency made things really easy.

At the end of the first quarter Unicaja had almost a double score (27-14), the torture of Cedevita continued in the second period (25-17) and an almost totally balanced second half (38-36 partial score) didn’t change anything. Luka Babic tried his best with 24 points, Jacob Pullen added 16, however no other player of Cedevita had a decent game.

Unicaja got the lead from the first possesion, started with a 5-0 advantage and after that Cedevita couldn’t even get the score tied.
