It doesn’t come as a surprise to be honest. Fenerbahce has been the only undefeated team in the Top 16, winning 5 games in a row for a stylish entrance in the second stage of the competition. And the Czech center is having a tremendous effect on his team’s game.

Vesely finished January averaging 14.5 points, 10.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2 blocks per game, with a presence that has been massive for Fenerbahce on both ends of court. A tower of dominance that intimidates his opponents on defense, thanks to his superb athletic abilities, solid perception and affinity for… rejections but also a great finisher of plays either after the pick n’ roll, or, and that is the most impressive thing, by creating his own shots either on post up game or facing the basket. The latter has been one of the most noteworthy improvements that the Czech has gone through in the recent year.

Apart from the numbers above, Vesely also broke his personal record on rebounds, grabbing 15 against Crvena Zvezda in Istanbul. With 10 of them being on offense, Vesely became the first player to make such a thing in the Top 16 since 2004.

Enjoy the huge impact, plus the many highlights that Jan Vesely has delivered for Fenerbahce on January
