A 15-4 run in the fourth quarter helped Brose Baskets prevail over Barcelona at home (74-70). This was the third win for the Germans (3-3), whereas the Spaniards suffered their fourth defeat (2-4), as things are now difficult for Xavi Pascual’s team.

For the winners, Janis Strelnieks had 16 points, with Daniel Theis adding 11 points and eight rebounds. On the other hand, Justin Doelmann did his best (19 points, 7/10 shooting, seven rebounds), as Pau Ribas scored 10 points and dished out six assists for the losing squad.

Although Brose Baskets was retaining a slight advantage in the beginning (13-10), Barcelona went on a 7-0 run to close the first quarter in front by four (13-17).

Despite the visitors’ effort to retain their lead (18-24), the hosts went on a 12-6 run to tie the game (30-30), with the German team managing to earn a three-point advantage (35-32), after 20 minutes in the game.

In the second half, Brose went on a 15-9 run and extended their lead to nine points (50-41), however the Spaniards responded and cut the deficit to three points at the end of the third quarter (53-50), behind a 9-3 run of their own.

In the fourth quarter, though, the Germans were dominant. Playing very well on both ends of the floor, they went on a 15-4 run to take a double-digit advantage (68-54) and never look back. Barcelona tried to make a come-back (70-65, with 16 seconds to go), but they ran out of time and Brose Baskets earned a big victory at home.
