A 25-13 run in the second quarter was enough for Fenerbahce to beat Unicaja Malaga at home (80-59) and remain unbeaten in group E (7-0). On the other hand, the Spaniards suffered their fifth defeat (2-5).

For the winners, five players scored in double figures, with Ekpe Udoh making a double-double (12 points, 10 rebounds). On the other hand, DeMarcus Nelson scored 11 points for the losing squad.

The Turks made a better start to the game and quickly earned an eight-point advantage (13-5), but the visitors fought back and cut the deficit to just one point at the end of the first quarter (16-15), behind a 3-10 run of their own.

Later, though, the hosts took over. Executing very well on both ends of the floor, they went on a 18-9 to take a double-digit lead and never look back, as the first half ended with Fenerbahce in front by 13 (41-28).

In the second half, things didn’t change much. Zeljco Obradovic‘s team continued to have complete control of the game (47-30, 57-40) and closed the third quarter with a 16-point advantage (61-45).

In the fourth quarter, the situation remained the same (69-53, 75-59), as Malaga was unable to make a come-back and, consequently, the Turks claimed an easy, yet crucial, win at home to remain undefeated.
