After the end of the big game in Moscow between CSKA Moscow and Olympiacos, the 35 free throws attempted by CSKA were a matter of discussion from both sides.

Coach Dimitris Itoudis, speaking in the Greek national television said: “We executed 35 free throws, but we could take another 30. We took advantage of Olympiacosbc strategy in that aspect. We took what the game gave us. I want my team to be able to transform according to each opponent”.

Coach Sfairopoulos in the press conference singed a different tune: “Olympiacos saw this problem before, we can’t stay silent now. The club and its history deserve bigger respect”. And his assistant and longtime member of Olympiacos Milan Tomic was much more eloquent: “We have seen CSKA shooting 35 free throws. This is a contact sport, or else we should play volleyball. It’s a shame to have the first half of Top16 end like this. Not every contact was called. What you can do when you touch your opponent with your nails and he gets a foul? What CSKA did? From the first until the last minute, they were shooting free throws. It’s a pitty to have the first half of the Top16 end like this”.
