Two victories that could not have come any easier for CSKA Moscow (20-1) and Lokomotiv Kuban (13-5) versus Nizhny Novgorod (10-9) and Bisons Loimaa (7-14), respectively, completed this Week’s games in VTB.

Looking at all other teams from the top of the standings, CSKA brutalized Nizhny in the second half, with many players contributing heavily. Even though the team from Moscow almost scored 100 points, none of its players had more of 12, a sign of optimal teamwork. Nizhny didn’t have many strengths left in the third period, after the exhausting effort in Tel Aviv for Eurocup, during the previous Week.

Matt Janning’s debut in Lokomotiv Kuban could not have been better. For him and his team, as Loko blasted the Finnish Bisons with an assault from, where else, behind the arc (16/35). Janning scored 15 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 5 assists, showing that he has fitted in quite nicely already.
