According to Eurohoops’ sources, Olympiacos has offered a contract to Italian NBA free agent Andrea Bargnani.

The Greek club is making an attempt to bring the Italian international center to Europe, but he is not the only option for the Reds. Olympiacos also has Jason Thompson who got cut by the Golden State Warriors, as an alternative choice, if the deal with Bargnani does not happen.

At this point, Bargnani is not eager to return to Europe and finish the season in Euroleague. However, Olympiacos has only hours in order to add a player before the end of the Euroleague transfer deadline and the Greeks are making a run on him. That’s why Thompson is also on their radar.

It’s going to be a long nigh in Piraeus and until Wednesday at 18.00 CET the Reds must registered their new addition in order to be eligible for the rest of the season in Euroleague.
