With Ekpe Udoh scoring 15 points and grabbing 7 rebounds, and Jan Vesely (13 points, 4 rebounds) being unstoppable in key moments of the game, Fenerbahce outplayed Galatasaray, defeating them 77 – 68. Bogdan Bogdanovic was also quite important for the winning side, since he scored 10 points and dished 7 assists. For Galatasaray, Stephane Lasme finished the match with 21 points, while Blake Schilb added 14, plus 5 assists.

The game was more or less decided in favor of the hosts in the third quarter, when a 19 – 9 partial score, gave Fenerbahce a lead of 15 points, 60 – 45 against its opponents. Coach Obradovic‘s players never looked back after it, managing to do whatever was necessary in order to preserve their advantage up until the end. The “inside game” by Fenerbahce was particularly effective and difficult to be stopped by Galatasaray.

Yet, the “CimBom” were the ones that had managed to gain the edge, though, at the end of the first period, when a three-point barrage gave coach Ataman’s team a 5 point lead, 17 – 22. While the guests remained ahead for about 6 minutes into the second quarter, a step back jumper by Luigi Datome, turned the tables and allowed Fener to slowly built the lead that would be greatly expanded in the second half.
