ACB officially announced its decision to accept the proposal made by Euroleague for the next four years.

In the next season, three ACB teams (chosen according to their ranking in Liga Endesa) will have direct access to Eurocup. In the 2017-2018 season, the number will be increased to four teams, while at least three will play in Euroleague. If the winner of Eurocup is a Spanish team, then this number will be obviously increased to four.

At the same time, the assembly announced that it supports the rest of the clubs’ freedom to choose to play in the FIBA Champions League if they want.

The whole agreement has a four-year duration. Until, and including, 2019-2020, the presence of ACB clubs is ensured on both competitions organized by Euroleague basketball.
