Not only Dragan Bender is a unique talent, but he is has a more than affordable buy out. As “The Vertical” reported there’s a buy out clause included in his contract which is even less than the reported $1.3 million. To be exact according to a source with knowlegde of the situation “a little bit less than $1.3 m.”.

Contrary to the initial information about his contract, it’s not up to Maccabi Tel Aviv to let him go, but the Croatian forward can leave this summer for the States for a relatively modest sum, considering for example the fact that Turk guard Furkan Korkmaz of Anadolu Efes‘ buy out is reported to be $2 million.

Even if his minutes this season in the first team of Maccabi Tel Aviv are very limited, the 18 years old Bender is a very known commodity for every NBA team. He is been scouted since 2012 when he first appeared in the international stage with the junior Croatian national teams and he is a lock for the Top5 of the upcoming NBA draft.
