With an almost perfect Justin Hamilton (21 points with 9/9 from the field) leading the charge, Valencia did nothing short of obliterating Unicaja Malaga 88 – 59 on the road advancing to the semifinals in a manner that not even its most dedicate fan could have imagined.

Truth be told, who would have expected such a blowout victory of the “Bats” after a Game 1 in which Unicaja Malaga was defeated in the last-minute details. Even though the hosts were the ones in grave need of victory, it was Valencia that entered the game more aggressively, assuming control at the end of the first half, and then dispatching the Andalusians in the second.

The more the game progressed the more things looked extremely dire for the Andalusians who looked almost helpless in their last quarter of the season, which ended… 9 -21!

Apart from Hamilton’s brilliant performance, Antoine Diot (12 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds) delivered some top notch playmaking to guide his teammates. From the… wreckage that Unicaja Malaga displayed, only Nemanja Nedovic played according to the demands of such a game, finishing the match with 17 points.

Now Valencia waits to find out its semifinals opponent between Real Madrid and Murcia.
