Galatasaray is going to be spending at least two more millions of US dollars for player salaries next season. That’s what Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek said in the club’s council board meeting.
According to Ozbek: “The men’s basketball section needs a bigger budget because we will play in the Euroleague. We are planning to have a bugdet of $8-9 million compared to 6$ million this year just for players’ salaries. How we will achieve this? After talking with the sponsors, we got a positive feedback from the Eurocup season and positive results. I think that we should increase our budget in order to have a succesful season in the Euroleague. Our revenues will increase and with the help of the sponsors Galatasaray will be represented in the Euroleague in the best way”.
