Tomas Satoransky had given a 76-74 lead to Barcelona with just 0.9 second left on the clock. The win could have send the Catalans to the Liga Endesa finals, but Adam Hanga with a full court baseball pass found Giannis Bourousis under the basket of Barcelona and he send the game to overtime.
Laboral Kutxa went on and got the 89-83 win with Bourousis giving a 87-83 lead thanks to a big three and finishing the game with 32 points. 6/9 threes, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks and just 2 turnovers. Mike James had 17 points, Darius Adams added 11 and both had big baskets in crunch time, alongside a big three by Davis Bertans.
Baskonia thanks to a 14-5 run at the end of the fourth quarter got back into the game (69-70) as Barcelona couldn’t protect a double digits lead which they build during the third quarter. Satoransky had a great game with 19 points, Alex Abrines also was hot with 14 points and Samardo Samuels added 13 crucial points, while creating problems with his moves to Bourousis.
Still it was all about Bourousis and Baskonia who had the spirit to stay alive and cut the lead of Barcelona to 2-1 wins. Game 4 will be also played in Vitoria, a gym in which Barcelona has not won since the 31st of May, 2014.
