Despite starting the game with scoring just 6 points in the first period, Anadolu Efes found the way to get the 80-71 win over Fenerbahce and stay alive in the BSL finals.

Fenerbahce still leads with 3-2 wins, needs one more in order to win the championship and at least in the first half seemed ready to finish the series on the road. However, that’s not how things happened.

Despite a 14 points (20-6) for Fenerbahce after the first 10 minutes, Anadolu reacted at the end of the first half, made it a four points game (34-30) and went to the locker rooms trailing by seven (37-30). The hosts tied the game at the end of the third period (52-52) and thanks to a big three by Dario Saric (72-64) they entered the last two minutes with an eight points advantage. In the end it was proven enough.

Saric finished the game with 11 points, Thomas Heurtel was a one man offense with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists, while Jayson Granger was also a key for the win with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists also.

Gigi Datome with 19 points and some big shots in crunch time gave a great effort to Fenerbahce, Jan Vesely registered an impressive double double (12 p., 15 r.), still Fenerbahce couldn’t close the game the right way.
