According to the official “VK” account of Unics Kazan, the Greek captain of the team Kostas Kaimakoglou, re-signed with the Russian club for one more season.

Unics is moving fast in order to keep its core and already extended the contracts of Keith Langford, Quino Colom and also of the coach Evgeny Pashutin.

Kaimakoglou began his professional career with the Greek League club Near East during the 2002–03 season. In 2004, he moved to the Greek club Maroussi. He was named to the Greek League Best Five Team in 2010. He joined the Greek club Panathinaikos in July 2010. With Panathinaikos, Kaimakoglou won the Euroleague and Greek League championships in 2011. He also won the Greek Cup with Panathinaikos in 2012.

Since 2012 he signed with Unics Kazan and this is going to be his fifth season in Russia with the same club, which returns to Euroleague as the runner-up of VTB League.
