Despite facing a streak of bad luck with many injuries, the first season of Kostas Sloukas in Fenerbahce was absolutely successful. And tonight it was concluded in the most ideal manner, since the 26-year old combo guard celebrated winning the Turkish Basketball Super League with his team.
“I am very proud for my team and my teammates for what we accomplished”, Sloukas said to Eurohoops. “This season has been a little bit strange for me personally, and you can understand why. But I am very happy for how it ended. We truly deserved this trophy”.
“It was a great season, no doubt about that. We played three Finals and we won two titles. This is amazing”. So what was the Greek player’s favorite moment from his debut year in Fenerbahce? “Every game that we played here, in Ulker Arena. That was my favorite moment. The fans helped us a lot in our winning streak. We lost only one home game here, so the fans’ support was very important”.
Sloukas continued to absolutely praising the supporters of Fenerbahce. “In every game here, there were six players in the team. They were giving us power and energy. I know they will continue doing that in the next season too”.
