Valencia decided to renew the contract of coach Pedro Martinez for one more year.
Even though the “Bats” faced an early elimination in Eurocup, they were one of the best teams in Liga Endesa, finishing the regular season with an impressive 28-6 record. In the competition’s playoffs they made it to the semifinals, ultimately losing 3-1 by Real Madrid, but not before giving them a tough battle first.
These were not the only reasons that coach Martinez’s work has been appreciated by everyone affiliated with the club, since Valencia performed consistently solid basketball throughout the season, despite struggling with various injuries of key players.
