The 9/9 two-point shots with which Gustavo Ayon finished the second Final between Barcelona and Real Madrid helped the Mexican center write a piece of unique history.

Only two players in the history of the Liga Endesa finals have scored more two-pointers in a single match, without losing any shot: Juan Antonio San Epifanio, in 1986 and Dejan Bodiroga in 1997. Both records were made in “clasico” matchups, but contrary to Bodiroga and Ayon, Epi wore the Blaugrana jersey and Real Madrid was his victim.
When it comes to playoff games in general, the related record is held by Ricky Winslow who while playing for Estudiantes, he made an impressive 11/11 against Joventut Badalona in a 1992 semifinal.
