When asked if he is going to be for Maccabi what the “King” was for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Weems replied: “Yes, you can definitely say this. This is what I came to be obviously. A positive tone on the whole thing”.
The 29-year old forward wants to become a continental champion with the “Yellows” and wishes to see the same ambition from his new teammates. “I always wanted to play for Maccabi and for these fans. And my only goal for which I came to Maccabi is to win the Euroleague. I hope that every player that joins the team, will arrive having the same thought as me. That’s the goal, this is what I want to achieve. I want to say to the fans of Maccabi that I came to win the Euroleague”.
