With Gentile leaving Milano, his goal is after all what everyone suspected from the first moment. And, of course, it’s the NBA.
“My goal is to play in the NBA next year”, Gentile told The Vertical. “I really hope this can happen. For me, Mike D’Antoni is like a legend in Italian basketball, an example for everyone. For him to coach me would be very, very nice”.
The Italian scorer had only good things to say about the Rockets: “James Harden is a superstar, one of the best players in the world. I think I can be useful to the team in many aspects of the game – shooting and scoring and passing. I think I could fit perfectly there. I just want a chance to come and help win games”.
However, if the Rockets want to trade his right to an other team, he is also ready to cross the Atlantic: “My dream is that I want to play in Houston with Mike D’Antoni. If that’s not possible, my goal is to still play in the NBA next year”.
