The “holy trinity” of Manu Ginobili, Luis Scola and Anders Nocioni will spearhead Argentina’s efforts to win a medal in the Olympic games of Rio.

Coach Sergio Hernandez selected 20 names for his preliminary squad ahead of the Olympic Tournament, including the three superstars of the “Albiceleste” in what might quite possibly be their last joint show in international games.

The Spanish Liga Endesa is also represented in the Argentinian national team with Facu Campazzo (Murcia), Nicolas Laprovittola (Estudiantes) and Nicolas Richotti (Tenerife), apart from Nocioni (Real Madrid).

Argentina will compete in Group B of the Olympic Games, together with Spain, Lithuania, Brazil, Nigeria and one team that will emerge from the qualifying tournaments.
