2013 Euroleague champion Giorgos Bartzokas is officially the new head coach of Barcelona after agreeing to a three-year deal with the Spanish team.

51 year old Georgios Bartzokas will be the new coach of the FC Barcelona basketball team for the next three seasons.
Bartzokas arrives from Lokomotiv Kuban whom he joined in the summer of 2015.Prior to that he coached several teams in his native Greece: Olympiacos (2012-14), Panionios (2010-12), Maroussi (2008-10) and Olympia Larissa (2006-09).
His achievements as a coach include winning the Euroleague with Olympiacos in 2013 and a FIBA Intercontinental Cup with the same club.
Once the signing is complete, the coach will be presented officially towards the end of July along with the new management structure of the FC Barcelona basketball section.
