In its first preparation game ahead of the Olympic Games of Rio, the Spanish national team faced no problems whatsoever against Angola, taking an easy 85 – 61 victory, without Pau Gasol and Sergio Llull.

Nikola Mirotic paced the Spaniards with 19 points (7/8 two-pointers) in 22 minutes, while Alex Abrines (16 points with 4/8 from behind the arc) and Felipe Reyes (13 points) also scored in double digits for their team.

Valdelicio Joaquim and Hermenegilido Santos scored 11 points each for Angola.

The only “stain” in the game for Spain was Ricky Rubio’s small injury who left with a problem on his knee.
