Nine out of the twelve players which led the Lithuanian team to the silver medal in the Eurobasket 2015 are included in the squad selected by coach Jonas Kazlauskas for the Olympic Games of Rio.

Marius Grigornis, Adas Juskevicus and Edgaras Ulanovas took the place of Deividas Gallius, Lukas Lekavicius and Arturas Milaknis. The absence of the Unics Kazan sharpshooter is perhaps the most notable surprise in the final list of players.

Guards: Mantas Kalnietis, Renaldas Seibutis, Marius Grigonis, Adas Juskevicius

Forwards: Mindaugas Kuzminskas, Jonas Maciulis, Edgaras Ulanovas

Centers: Jonas Valanciunas, Paulius Jankunas, Domantas Sabonis, Antanas Kavaliauskas, Robertas Javtokas.
