Victor Claver is expected to be a member of Barcelona next year with Valencia getting 2 million euros as a buy out in order to let his sign with the Catalans.
According to sources from Greece, Panathinaikos was expecting the last few days a signed contract by the Spanish forward, but today they found out that the player has a deal with Barcelona. According to the Greeks, they had a verbal deal, or at least the impression of one, however things changed.
The Spanish club is ready to pay also Valencia which has the “tanteo” right for Claver – he is practically a restricted free agent for the Spanish league clubs – and it’s obvious that the player would prefer a return to his country.
Panathinaikos will have to find an other player and coach Bartzokas will get to his roster in Barcelona one of the player who he coached this season in Lokomotiv Kuban.
