Panathinaikos officially announced the signing of Pat Calathes to a one-year deal. The Greek forward returns to the club after 2012.
Pat is the brother of point guard Nick Calathes, who is also playing for Panathinaikos. The 30-year old player spent the previous season in Astana, Kazakhstan averaging 12.5 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.2. assists in the VTB League.
He is expected to have more of a supporting role for the Greens during the upcoming season, since the main purpose behind his addition was to enrich the team’s roster depth and providing a qualitative option coming off the bench.
