Australia aims to impress in the summer Olympics this year and has definitely achieved it after 3 games in the competition.
Ryan Broekhoff, one of Lokomotiv’s previous summer additions spoke to rsport.ru and set Australia’s goals high for this summer.
“To us, it comes as no surprise that we had a good start in the tournament. Right from the beginning we came to Rio for the gold. After winning Serbia and France and the tough loss over the USA we proved that these words weren’t only on paper. It would be nice to finish second in our group and make it to the playoffs.”
The Boomers’ only loss thus far came from the USA dream team. Broekoff comments: “We are displeased with the loss over the US. We generally played good, except for those dead minutes in the game. Our opponents had 21 offensive rebounds and that determined a lot. However, that game gave us extra confidence. We hope to meet America again in Rio and this time to be stronger.”
