Barcelona has been successful in its efforts to acquire Finish guard Petteri Koponen who is about to ink a two-year contract with the club.
According to Eurohoops’ sources, the “Blaugrana” will pay a buy out of $300.000 to Khimki Moscow for the player’s rights.
During the previous season with Khimki, Koponen averaged 9.3 points and 2.5 assists per game in Euroleague plus 11.6 points and 3.6 assists in VTB League.
The 28-year old player becomes the third summer transfer of Barcelona after Victor Claver and Tyrese Rice who was also Koponen’s teammate in Khimki during the last two years.
