One year after his initial election as president of the Russian basketball federation, Andrey Kirilenko, being the sole candidate, was re-elected as president for the next four years.
Kirilenko is the man who was chosen in order to put again the Russian federation in the right path, after a more than turbulant last summer during which all the Russian national teams were in danger of being banned from FIBA competitions.
Also the executive committee of the federation was elected, which includes among others CSKA Moscow president Andrei Vatutin and CSA Moscow captain Victor Khryapa.
