Lokomotiv Kuban officially announced the addition of American combo guard Taylor Rochestie. The American player signed a one-year contract with the club from Krasnodar.
Rochestie had parted ways with Maccabi with which he played in the previous season, averaging 14 points and 5.5. assists in Euroleague. Before joining Loko he was also heavily linked with Olympiacos.
He has been the winner of the “Alphonso Ford” award for being the top scorer in 2014/2015 Euroleague playing for Nizhny Novgorod.
A highly skilled offensive baller who can attack the basket and pass the ball with equally potent efficiency, Rochestie’s qualities were praised by the team’s head coach Fotis Katsikaris. “He has the level of experience and leadership we need. He’s a wonderful offensive player but his main advantage is his character,” said he Greek coach in Lokomotiv’s official website.
“My goals are simple and always the same. I want to win basketball games.” added Rochestie. “This is a new challenge in my career and look forward to play in front of the fans in Krasnodar. I think we will be able to impress them.”
