Barcelona’s captain Juan Carlos Navarro began training with his teammates under the orders of Georgios Bartzokas. He rested for a few days of extra vacation after the Olympic Games but now he is back to action: “I really wanted to come back, this week will be a progressive training for me. I am very happy to see new teammates this season.”
On the chances that Barca has to win this season, Navarro says that they must continue working hard, though it is too early to talk about the team’s expectations: “I think the signings have been very good and the young players have had good performances. Together we can do important things this year.”
Navarro also spoke about the upcoming Supercopa and Pablo Laso’s team, and stated that Real Madrid is a classic opponent, but there are still many days until then and lots of work to be done from both teams. The player finally noted Sergio Rodriguez’ important absence from the rival team and how this could change Real from now on.
