The duo of Stefan Jovic and Luka Mitrovic extended their contract with Crvena Zvezda until 2018 as the team is securing its future.

The 25 years old Jovic (1.98 m.) set the Euroleague record for the most assists in a single game (19) last season and he was also named the MVP of the 2015–16 ABA League Finals. He is a member of the Rio silver medal winning Serbian national team.

The 23 years old Mitrovic (2.06 m.) was the No.60 pick of the 2015 NBA draft by the Sixers and the Sacramento Kings have his rights. He is also the team captain of Crvena Zvezda and had a contract until 2017. It’s safe to assume that the new deal includes also multiple NBA outs options.

The news were first reported by Serbian journalist Djordje Matic.
