While missing the injured trio of Andrea Bargnani, Shane Larkin, Kim Tillie and three players due to the Eurobasket 2017 qualification games (Adam Hanga, Jaka Blazic, Tornike Shengelia) Baskonia was defeated by Murcia (82-68).
Baskonia had only three players who are expected to be part of the regular rotation, Rafa Luz (5 p., 7 as.), Tadas Sedekerskis (8 p.) and Rodrigue Beaubois (9 p.). Croatian center Mario Delas who is signed only for the pre-season had 21 points.
