Despite being an ocean away, David Blatt will be the only Euroleague coach who has something no one else does! An NBA championship ring!
As the “Akron Beacon journal” reports despite the fact that Blatt was fired at the midpoint of the Cavs’ championship season, the team has ordered a ring for him, too and he will get in Turkey where he is currently coaching Dogus Darussafaka.
Blatt was replaced by Tyronn Lue after going 30-11 last season. Current coaches and players will receive their rings on Oct. 25, the same night the team raises the city’s first championship banner in 52 years.
