The celebration of Dimitris Diamantidis by Panathinaikos proved to be probably the best farewell party in the history of European basketball.
One of the all time greats left the courts the way it should happen to every player of his stature and you can see in the images of last night the amazing moments that occured at OAKA.
From the longtime previous owners of the club, Pavlos Giannakopoulos and Thanasis Giannakopoulos, being present to CSKA Moscow, Barcelona, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Euroleague CEO Jordi Bertomeu honoring Diamantidis with their presence, it couldn’t get much better than this.
