Olympiacos recovered in an emphatic manner after a rough start (14 – 26 at first quarter) in the game against Pinar Karsiyaka to achieve a 86 – 67 victory.
The Turkish team managed to go to the locker rooms being ahead with a narrow lead (37 – 38) but the Reds proceeded to finish what they started in the second period, gaining a double-digit difference and preserving it easily.
Giannis Athinaiou paced the winners with a fiery 5/5 performance from behind the arc and 17 points in total, while Nikola Milutinov had 11 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Erick Green and Vangelis Mantzaris added 9 points.
For Pinar Karsiyaka, Dajuan Summers finished the match with a double-double of 22 points plus 10 rebounds and J’ Covan Brown contributed 15 points plus 8 assists.
