The Detroit Pistons have officially announced penning a contract with Serbian center Nikola Jovanovic. The 22-year old player will earn a spot in the team’s training camp and get an opportunity to show his strengths.
Before entering the 2016 NBA Draft (where he went undrafted), Jovanovic has averaged 10.8 points and 6 rebounds in the 98 games he played for the Trojans of the University of Southern California. He had previously been a part of both Crvena Zvezda and Partizan academies in Belgrade.
According to various reports from USA, Jovanovic is unlikely to make the Pistons‘ final roster and will probably be headed to Grand Rapids, the club’s D-League affiliate.
