One of the few, but perhaps the most important transfer, that Olympiacos completed during summer, was the acquisition of American combo guard Erick Green. A player who can provide great helps in the team’s offensive department thanks to his excellent scoring abilities.
Green had previously played in Euroleague during 2013/2014 (with Montepaschi Siena), before getting his first NBA contract, with the Denver Nuggets. And he has no problem admitting to Eurohoops, that returning to the best league in the world, is among his top ambitions.
“I think that my decision to join Olympiacos can skyrocket my career. I believe it will help me return to the NBA. I am a part of a great organization. I have excellent teammates, I will play in Euroleague, the second biggest league in the planet, and I’ll prove that I can do important things at the top level of basketball.”
The American player sets his priorities straight, of course. “I have to be honest. Returning to the NBA is something that I have in my mind. However, I want to take it one step at a time. My basic target, and the thing to which I am currently focused is winning titles with Olympiacos. Make a great season and return to the Euroleague Final Four.
“It’s all about that. NBA will be there… waiting. And when the time comes I wish I can find a guaranteed contract with a team which will believe in my capabilities. If that doesn’t happen, then I’ll be happy to stay in Europe, fight, constantly improving and achieving great things in my career.”
