Thanks to 28 points (9/13 from the field) by Nando De Colo, CSKA Moscow began its obligation in the new VTB League season by downing Enisey 97 – 84 on the road.
It wasn’t until the second half, that the league’s reigning champs truly showed their superiority on court. With a 32 – 14 partial score in the third quarter, they gained an advantage of 21 points, 57 – 78.
There was no way back after that, despite the great condition of Enisey’s shooters (15/33 from behind the arc). The absence of Milos Teodosic never became an issue for coach Itoudis’ team that finished the match with 26 assists.
Apart from the French combo guard, CSKA received much help from James Augustine (12 points, 4 rebounds) and Andrey Vorontsevich (10 points, 7 rebounds).
Tony Taylor scored 24 points and Frank Elegar added 10 along with 7 rebounds for Enisey.
