During the award ceremony after Fenerbahce‘s victory over Anadolu Efes in the final of the President’s Cup in Turkey, Zeljko Obradovic thanked president Recep Tayyip Erdogan not only for his presence in the match, but also for his contribution to the growth of basketball in the country.
“President Erdogan is here and I want to thank him for supporting basketball. Everyone involved in the sport is very important,” said Zoc, while his players celebrated winning the sixth President’s Cup trophy in the club history.
Obradovic gave his thanks to Erdogan during the press conference as well. “From my point of view, there is one very important thing. I really appreciate the support of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and I want to thank him for being present in here today in the name of basketball. This was a very significant step for everyone to get involved in basketball and be supportive.”
