With an absolutely stunning first half output and with no reason to sweat in the next 20 minutes, Unicaja Malaga achieved a superb 86 – 62 road victory against Buducnost in Montenegro, to begin its Eurocup duties.

The Spanish team managed to get the job done before halftime, going to the locker rooms with a difference of 21 points, 54 – 33. It was a casual case after that for coach Plaza’s players, since their opponents were unable to recover from such a deficit.

Jamar Smith (19 points in less than 19 minutes) and Dejan Musli (16 points) scored the lot for Unicaja Malaga, while Marcus Williams finished with 13 points from the losing side.
