The champs are still perfect after their second visit to Istanbul as they got the 91-85 road win over Anadolu Efes. The hosts tried and got back in the game late in the fourth quarter, however CSKA Moscow knew what to do.

To be exact, once again the duo of Nando De Colo (26 p.) and Milos Teodosic (15 p., 8 as., 1 t.) couldn’t be denied. They got also 13 crucial points by Cory Higgins and 10 by Jeff Ayres in the game which can be considered his “real” debut. James Augustin didn’t play due to food poisoning.

The Russians had a 49-37 half time lead and things under control. However things changed in the second half with Anadolu Efes trailing by six points (69-63) at the end of the third quarter and just by one (79-78) with 5,5 minutes left after a three by Derrick Brown.

After two minutes, the score was tied at 82, but CSKA Moscow‘s answer was a 7-0 run (89-82) after goal foul by De Colo, a three by Teodosic and 1 out of 2 free throws by Nikita Kurbanov. The champs closed the game the right way and Anadolu Efes couldn’t “steal” it.

Deshaun Thomas with 17 points was the top scorer of Anadolu Efes, Brown had 14 and Thomas Heurtel with 7 points and 7 assists was the key to the comeback of his team.
