Avtodor came close to a big win, but in the end CSKA Moscow prevailed after overtime (104-103) and remains perfect in the VTB League with a 3-0 record.

Avtodor’s Maxim Kolyushkin (11 p.) with two big threes tied the score at 100 in overtime and Branden Frazier (11 p.) gave a 103-100 lead to the hosts. Cory Higgins (15 p.) made a one point game for CSKA Moscow (103-102), Nikita Kurbanov (13 p. 8 r.) with two more free throws gave to the “Army team” the lead (104-103) after a missed shot by Evgenii Kolesnikov. Avtodor had the last possession but couldn’t score.

The hosts got a 75-68 lead, their biggest in the game, at the end of the third quarter, but the “Army team” which was playing without Nando De Colo, came back thanks to Milos Teodosic who flirted with the triple double (22 p., 11 r., 8 as.) but also had 1/15 threes. Kyle Hines had a double double (11 p., 12 r.) and made also crucial plays in crunch time.

Tomislav Zubcic (20 p., 10 r.)  with a three made it a one point game just 37 seconds before the end of the game with CSKA Moscow having the lead (90-89). Dimitri Kulagin (photo) who had in total 12 points answered with 1/2 free throws (91-89) and Branden Fraizer send the game to overtime with 2/2 shots from the charity line (91-91). Nic Minnerath scored also 21 points and had 9 rebounds for the losing side.
