A well-fought and highly tough Kolossos Rhodes certainly gave Olympiacos a run for his money, but the team from Piraeus managed to win 75 – 67 to remain perfect in the Greek Basket League.

Less than three days after their Euroleague roadkill vs Baskonia, the Reds (minus Vassilis Spanoulis who was out in order to rest) suffered some extreme resistance by Kolossos who didn’t only remain competitive against its much – much superior opponent, but often held the lead in a quite close game.

Coach Sfairopoulos’ players finished the job only in the last four minutes. With the score 67 – 67 they managed to not concede any points by Kolossos, while Erick Green (18 points), Kostas Papanikolaou (10 points) and Khem Birch (2 points, 4 rebounds) scored key baskets to make their team safe. Ioannis Papapetrou was also a key players for Olympiacos, finishing the match with 15 points and 7 rebounds.

For Kolossos that did everything except closing the game, Trevor Releford dropped 17 points, Juvonte Reddic 11 and Giannis Georgalis 10.
