Zeljko Obradovic gave credit to Unics Kazan for being the first team to beat Fenerbahce in Euroleague this season, but on the other hand he was not happy about the way his team performed.
As he said in the press conference: “Without any question the key player was Langford, I tried to prepare our defense against him and we did nothing. He was very confident, he shot the ball and that was the game. Every time we tried to get back the momentum, when we got close we stopped to play. It’s obvious that we close the game very bad. We can’t win the game playing defense like that. Unics deserved this win. It was easy for us to play normally but we took some really bad decisions. It’s not an excuse that we may be tired. I tried everything to wake up my team. They made the same mistakes, they don’t understand what it means to play for Fenerbahce. To play tough in practice and show me that they deserve to be on the game. Basketball is a game of mind. We missed two players, Bogdanovic and Kalinic, we had a short rotation but it was a disaster how we played in the first quarter”.
