Barcelona survived a tricky game against Zalgiris after showing concentration in the final period and won with 92-86.

Right from the beginning, Barcelona focused a lot on the low post, with Ante Tomic executing his personal opponents. Though both teams didn’t show enough nerve in the game, Barcelona was up 16-12. Zalgiris found open threes and took advantage of them, pushing the hosts. After 20 minutes of game, the score was 36-35.

In the third period of the game, Zalgiris managed to get a 4-point lead, 48-52 halfway through it. The Lithuanians kept being competitive even when Barcelona regained the lead. Lukas Lekavicius ended the quarter with an incredible three from afar, keeping Zalgiris close, 65-59.

Barcelona expanded the lead to 10 points early in the final period, yet the visitors wouldn’t give up easily. Brock Motum was decisive for his team and even achieved a record high performance (26 points, 11/12 FG), though Rice kept the hosts safe.

With 22 seconds left, Ulanovas hit a crucial three, making the score 88-86. Still, two pairs of free throws later, Barcelona sealed the win. Tyrese Rice was the first scorer of the Blaugranas with 20 points and 3 assists.
